Recently adopted my sweet girl who was trained on a retractable and she's adjusted beautifully to the new leash! It's better for me too as I have more control and she keeps her sniffing freedom! I also ordered it in green apple as the primary color and it's easy for both of us to see, even at night! It's easy to clean and soft on my hands. The clip is just the right size for my little pup (only 8lbs!) and the 2ft traffic handle is always within easy reach ♥️

The leash looks great. The locking caribener seems very secure. My husband doesn't like the way it feels in his hand (we have the thinner leash). Unfortunately after using this leash for about a week, my 6 month old puppy was lying at my husband's feet and bit the leash in half. Her adult teeth have been coming in and she's been chewing more than usual. Obviously not high tail's fault but it's hard to leave 5 stars for something that broke so quick. I would not recommend this for dogs that grab the leash or chew.
