BioThane® is exceptionally strong for its weight, with a minimum 1,000 lb break strength per inch of width. An intact BioThane leash paired with quality hardware will hold up to even the strongest pullers. That said, BioThane (like any leash material) is not chew‑proof - it’s engineered for tensile force, not teeth. Please don’t leave any dog unattended while wearing a leash. If chewing happens, reach out - we may be able to repair or offer a discounted replacement.

Leash Width: Choose based on your dog size and preferred leash feel:

3/8" - Small dogs (under 30 lb). Light in hand yet strong.
1/2" - Small-medium (up to 60 lb) or anyone who prefers a lighter feel.
3/4" - Medium-large (60+ lb), strong pullers, or for a more “traditional” leash hand feel.

Leash Length (activity guidance):

4 ft : Short car-to-trail transfers or ultra close quarters.
6 ft : Standard leash length.
8, 10, or 12 ft : Our most popular everyday lengths; give your dog freedom while keeping them safe.
