How to Customize Your Leash

Step 1: Pick Your Hardware

• Solid Brass – Rust-proof and durable, with a classic look.

• Sport (Autolocking Carabiner) – Lightweight, strong, and secure, with a modern look.

Step 2: Pick Your Size

Width:

• Small (3/8") – Best for dogs under 30 lbs

• Medium (1/2") – Best for dogs 30-60 lbs

• Large (3/4") – Best for dogs over 60 lbs

Note: These are comfort guidelines, NOT safety ratings. BioThane® is incredibly strong and an undamaged line will not break even with the most determined pulling. Longer lines naturally become heavier. For better handling and ease of use, choose a thinner width as length increases.

Length:

• 4 to 6 ft – Best for close control in crowded or tight spaces.
  6 ft = conventional "standard" leash length

• 8 to 12 ft – Perfect as an all-purpose, everyday leash 
  10 ft = bestselling everyday leash

• 15 to 20 ft – Ideal for hikes, beach trips, camping, travel, and training
  15 ft = ideal hiking leash
  20 ft = versatile adventure + training leash 

• 30 to 50 ft – Best for open fields, quiet beaches, SniffSpots, or backyards.
  30 ft = great for intermediate/advanced long line users

Step 3: Pick Your Colors

• Single Color or Two Tone - Two tone leashes have an accent color at the clip and handle ends.
