All About Color Options for our BioThane Leashes!

One of the best parts about ordering a BioThane leash from us is that you can customize your gear to your heart's content, and that includes your leashes' color!

When you are designing your High Tail Hikes BioThane leash, you’ll have the option to choose a single color (this is the standard option), or you can select the option to “Make Mine Two Tone: Choose an Accent Color.” Here, we explain how we design the Two Tone products for both our standard Leash and Long Line products, as well as four our Hands Free + Convertible Leash products. The two styles are a little different due to the design of the leashes!

For our BioThane Leashes and Long Lines, choosing the Two Tone option means that the main length of the leash will be made in the main color you select. The leash handle, as well as an accent piece at the base of the leash near the clip, will be made in the accent color of your choice. In addition to being a great way to customize your gear to your aesthetic, some of our customers find that having a two tone leash can help you to quickly find the leash handle if you need to pick it up or if you are walking multiple dogs and trying to untangle leashes.

For our Hands Free + Convertible Leash product, the Two Tone design is a little different. The Two Tone design on our Hands Free + Convertibles Leash incorporates the main and the accent color selections alternating along the 3 pieces that make up the leash. In addition, your accent color will be added as an accent piece to both ends of the leash near the clip. The sliding O ring will be made in the main leash color. In the images below, the Main color is midnight and the Accent Color is coral.

Choosing a Hands Free + Convertible leash in a Two Tone design is an awesome way to design a fully customized, one of a kind leash that will be super unique!

A question we have gotten before is - what if I order a standard leash with a convertible handle in a Two Tone design (we offer the option to add a "convertible handle" to your leash so that the leash can be worn hands free or used as a tether). In that case, the entire length of the leash will be made in the main color, while only the handle piece will be made in the accent color. The contrasting color will be added as an accent to each end of the leash (at the handle end and the dog end), and the sliding O Ring will be made in the accent color.
